Hotspot Control

Hotspot Control is a tiny app that enables or disables Portable Hotspot functionality of Android. Usually you would simply do that in Android settings, but on some units this option is hidden, or only works when you have a SIM inserted.
Hotspot Control does away with these necessities, assuming that the hotspot performance itself is actually still present and operational on the device. Rooting is *usually* not required.
THIS IS NOT DESIGNED TO BEAT YOUR CARRIER'S TETHERING PROTECTION, OR LET YOU TETHER FOR FREE - For some people it does (it depends on how that safety is implemented) but this isn't what the app was made for. It's no use complaining that it doesn't do that for you. This app is designed to bypass some points when organising a *local* hotspot so your gadgets can talk with eachother, *not* with the internet (though that also works on a quantity of devices).
You can configure the entry level (hotspot) title and password, encryption used is alway WPA2 AES TKIP, to maintain it easy.
On some devices that don't have a mobile data connection functionality (like the Nexus 10) the hotspot will not give out IP addresses - the app will auto-detect this example and repair it, however root is required for that choice. Note that without root on these devices, the connected units can still talk when you configure their IP addresses manually, but that's one thing for the advanced consumer.
I personally want this to create a personal community (even and not using a SIM, and thus with out an precise *internet* connection) within the field between a variety of my units. Some genius at Samsung determined that my Note II shouldn't create an access point if no SIM is current - I beg to differ! Maybe someone else has use for this as nicely.
